Roy Suryo Message to Luna Maya: We Declare the Video is Fake

Since the beginning of the case, Roy Suryo tried to help Luna and his boyfriend Ariel to prove that their videos are fake.

Roy stated that since he can contact Luna through text message, she asked him to do whatever he can do to help her proving that the video is indeed fake.

"She said to me that it's all fake. I believed in her, because I'm still in Amsterdam, and haven't see the video yet" Roy Suryo explain.

But suddenly, Luna's Lawyer Boy Afrian Bonjol comes to charge Roy Suryo for blackmailing Luna and Ariel through his text message. Roy is shocked with the surprising charge on him.

Roy said he was surprised when he heard about the blackmail charge. He was trying to help Luna and Ariel, and now they drag him into trouble. However he admitted that the message is true, but he's not trying to blackmail them, because he really want to help them.

"I didn't mean to blackmail anyone. I'm honestly trying to help them, because I have done it before" said Roy Suryo.

Roy Suryo Denied BlackMail Charge on Luna Maya

Charged for allegedly trying to blackmail Luna Maya and Ariel Peterpan, Roy Suryo quickly denied. According to him, he's trying to help them over the video case.

Roy Suryo stated that when the video case happened, he was in Netherland.

"When I heard news from Indonesia, I contacted her (Luna). I helped her over the past photo case, so I still have her mobile number" said Roy Suryo via phone, Friday, June 18, 2010.

But because Luna's phone number is not active anymore, Roy Suryo tried to find it through his friend. After he got it, he sent her text message, which was replied by Luna.

"She replied in a good manner. I asked her what is happened" Roy Suryo explained.

Roy dare to denied the charge from Luna's Lawyer, Boy Afian Bonjol, because he still keep all the replied message from Luna Maya.

"I still have all the messages. Luna asked me for whatever I can do to help her" said Roy Suryo.

In the heat of Ariel and Luna videos, Roy Suryo suddenly made an appearance with a claim that the video is real. But later, Roy Suryo alleged trying to blackmail Luna Maya and Ariel Peterpan.

This was stated by Ariel and Luna Maya's Lawyer, Boy Afrian Bonjol, when met at Police Headquarter, Friday, June 18, 2010.

Boy showed the text message from Roy Suryo to the gathering journalists. The mobile number is 08112828**. Indeed, journalists recognized the number as Roy Suryo's mobile number, because they often interviewed Roy Suryo via mobile phone.

From the text message sent at June 6, 2010, it looks like Roy Suryo try to persuade Luna maya to form a conspiracy. Luna didn't respond to the message.

"We didn't reply him. I don't know what his motivation is" said Boy.

Is this a from of blackmail by Roy Suryo?

"I don't want to made assumption. You can conclude it yourself. This is the fact, there is text message from Roy Suryo" said Boy.

Uruguay Defeat World Cup 2010 Host South Africa

Uruguay temporarily stands on top of Group A in World Cup 2010. Oscar Tabarez squad manage to defeat South Africe 3-0 in Loftus Versfeld Stadium.

With this result, Uruguay is leading the Group A standings with 4 points. The Tabarez squad is over France. Mexico and World Cup host South Africa are in last position.

Robinho Ready to Replace Kaka

Brazil's playmaker Ricardo Kaka hasn't fully recovered from his injury. Robinho, even though he's a striker, confirm that he's ready to replace Kaka's position in the midfield.

Ariel musical career is finished. The singer with full name Nazriel Ilham is threatened to be sentenced with 12 years in jail if proved to be the actor in the recent leaked videos.

"Maximum sentence is 12 years. He could be sentenced with ITE Law point 4 number 27" explain Brigadier General Zainuri Lubis, Head Division of Indonesian Police Headquarter.

Zainuri is not dare to predict whether Ariel could escape the law because the investigation is not finished yet. "He's not interrogated yet, his status is still witness now" he added.

He asked the public to be patient and not judging Ariel, Luna Maya and Cut Tari because the originality of the video still can't be determined yet.

Investigator only received information from the Information Ministry. Investigator can't determined whether the video is original or not because they are incompetent for that. It must be IT experts who concludes about it. It can be one or two IT experts" he explains.

Motorola reveals that the company is indicating a big interest on the Droid phones bundled with Verizon Wireless, rather than the competitor Droid Incredible from HTC.

"Motorola suffers a major stock problem in the industry, same thing happened to HTC's Droid Incredible" said co-Chief Executive Sanjay Jha.

Before, the Verizon Wireless admit that they are having problem to cope with consumer's demand for Droid Incredible phones. The cause is, screen supply from Samsung Electronics is late.

Samsung Launch The First LED LFD in the World: Environment-Friendly Large Format Information Display

Samsung Electronics launched the first LED LFD in the world with environment-friendly concept and Large Format Information Display (LFD) which combined with the back LED light technology.

Samsung introduced the EX series which is the thinnest LFD in the world, suitable to display an extra large advertisements, and available in various sizes of 40 inches, 46 inches, and 55 inches. It also has built-in PC option.

The new LED LFD is far better than conventional LCD in the term of power usage, design, image quality and efficiency. Moreover, they expect to significantly extends the advertisement market.

"The EX series will bring innovative impact on the Large Format Information Display market through an environment-friendly, high efficiency, impressive image quality and a good design" said Jin-Hwan Kim, Executive Director of Samsung Electronics Visual Display Division.

The EX series, which significantly reduce the power usage from the previous models, is an environment-friendly product with Energy Star 5.0 certificate.

With its weight being 40% lighter than the other Large Format Information Display in same size, about 15Kg (46 inch), the EX series introduced the speed of panel refresh at 120 Hz.

Toshiba and Fujitsu in Merge Talk to Extend Mobile Market

Fujitsu and Toshiba Corp are in a talk of merging their mobile business. The deal will allow them to share the cost of developing new advanced technology in the cellphone market.

Furthermore, the cooperation will extends their market globally, where Nokia and Samsung Electronics dominated. This includes the smartphone maker like Apple and Research in Motion which growing rapidly.

MM Research Institute analyst Hideaki Yokota stated that it will be hard to Japanese companies to extend their market globally, but this way, they can have equal opportunity.

Singapore Tops iPhone OS Usage in Asia

iPhone and iPod usage in Asia is not as much as in the United States and European countries. But among the Asian countries, Singapore has a significant usage of iPhone and iPod, opposite to Indonesia.

Singapore has around 402,992 iPhone units, and additional 76,575 iPod Touch units and 1,453 iPad units. This means the total usage of iPhone OS (iOS) in Singapore reach 480,950 units, from total Singapore population of 4 millions people. The numbers shows an absolute loss for Android OS, which only reach 32,918 units.

The iPhone OS success in Singapore is reasonable. In Asia, Singapore is the first country to sell iPhone, a year before the Android gadget released. Even so, the growth of Android usage predicted to rise, considering the average growth of iPhone OS in the country is around 8%.

And how about Indonesia? The iPhone OS usage in Indonesia is only about 0,003%, or around 68,841 units. Data about iPod and iPad usage is not available yet. Opposite to it, the Symbian OS still rule the smartphones market in Indonesia with more than 90%.

Translate Indonesia - Inggris

Being a student majoring Linguistic and Literature, doing an Indonesia - Inggris translation is not a new thing to me. Bu even though I've been translating for years, it's never easy to translate Indonesia - Inggris. I do feel easier to translate Inggris - Indonesia because Indonesia is my mother language, but to do the opposite, it's another story.

Most people think that if you understand foreign language, then you can easily translate your language into the foreign language. It's not true because translation is not that simple. I'll try to explain it in two points.

1. Translating from foreign language to mother language is easier. For example, translating from Inggris to Indonesia is easy, because I speak Indonesia everyday. I know how to say any sentence, any thought, anything in Indonesia. When I translate Inggris - Indonesia, I get to the core of the sentence I need to translate. I'm looking for the 'meaning' of the whole sentence, seeing the thought inside it. Then I find out how to say the same 'meaning' in Indonesia.

2. Transating from mother language to foreign language is harder. For example, translating from Indonesia to Inggris is harder because I don't speak Inggris everyday with native Inggris speaker. The difficult part is to find out how Inggris speaker will say the 'meaning' in Inggris. At this point, we'll met something called 'Grammar' and 'Syntax". They are the rule of building a sentence. Then we will met something named 'Tenses'. They are the time marker. After that, we'll get along with 'Regular Verb' and 'Irregular Verb', 'Personal Pronoun', and it all changed the verb of the sentence. See, it's complicated.

Now, when technology advances to the 'point of no limit', translation work can be done by a software, a program, a machine. But is it true? A sentence always have a situation behind it. That's what called 'Pragmatic'. Human can understand the 'Pragmatic logic' based on the situation when the sentence created. But even a human will misunderstood the meaning of sentence when he's not aware of the situation where the sentence made. So, if human can misunderstood the logic of a sentence, how come a machine not?

It doesn't mean that a machine could not translate at all. The result of translating a word using translator software is quite good, if not perfect. This is because the translator only needs to look for the matched word in it's database.

The problem kicks in when translating a sentence using translator. Translator software can't understand the situation behind the sentence. A word in the sentence could have multiple meaning, depends on the situation behind it. Some software use multiple translation results with all the possible meaning of the word. This is a quite good solution, but it will create bigger problem when translating a business document or paragraph-long documents. The multiple meaning forces you to edit the translated text by choosing the right match for the word and removing the others. This will made the translation work goes harder and consumes time.

In the captured image of the video, a woman who looks like Aura Kasih seems sleeping on a bed. The video presumed to be taken inside a hotel room.

The person who posted the captured image only asked the reader to guess if the girl in the video is really Aura Kasih.

Police assumed that the video haven't been spreaded yet, because they are doing intensive investigation to find the uploader of Ariel Peterpan videos. Therefore, the link given with the captured image is not the same video with the one captured, aka HOAX.

However, there is another member in online forum who posted different captured image, admitted to be captured from the real video of Aura Kasih. The poster doesn't include any link to the video, presumed to be afraid of the Police investigation too.

Like predicted by so many people, finally another video of Ariel is released to the internet. This time, the woman in the video is Bunga Citra Lestari (BCL). But unlike the previous two videos, although looks the same, it can be seen that the girl in the video is not BCL.

IT expert Johan Soedrajat who identify the video used Face Recognition Software to compare the image of BCL with the girl in the video. The result is clear, only 37% matched. Soedrajat explained that even without special software, anyone can see that the girl in the video is a different person, not BCL.

"Bunga Citra Lestari has a round-shaped face, while the girl in the video is not. Face structure such as nose, mouth, eyes, and eyebrows are also different. Only the hair looks very similar to Bunga's hair" explain Soedrajat.

This fact bring another assumption that the other videos of Luna Maya and Cut Tari are also fake and purposely made to looks like the celebrities.

The leaked private videos of Ariel with two Indonesian celebrities rapidly circulating. The cellphone technology makes the circulation even faster by just using bluetooth. But be aware, some of the video has a virus encrypted in it. Until now, the virus already attacking BlackBerry phones.

Randy, a BlackBerry owner said that his phone suddenly goes blank after he play the video on his phone.

"My BlackBerry goes blank and turned off right after I played the video. When I turned it on, it only shows the loading screen" said Randy when met at the BlackBerry Service Center.
