Google Developing Android for Low-End Phone Market

Lately, Google seems to be losing interest in marketing their Nexus One phone. But this doesn't necessarily means that Google also abandoned Android development. In fact, Google is currently working hard in developing Android to the next level. The search engine giant is gaining support of application developers.

Google said to have planned an Android expansion to India and China. They will focused Android to the low-end phone in Asia and Europe. Huawei and LG is among the other cell phone vendor who already have an agreement with Google to market Android as operating system in their phones.

Currently, Apple is leading over Google in the term of mobile application quantity. Goggle Android at this time only has around 65,000 applications while Apple already have more than 200,000 applications.

But, with the effort currently prepared for Android, Google is optimist that its operating system will be able to surpass Apple's iOS 4 in 2012 and become the second popular operating system after Symbian.
