
United States National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) issued a recall letter to Toyota. The Japanese car company was asked to recall 17,000 units of their Lexus HS 250h because suspected to have fuel leak problem that could lead to fires.
The problem found when doing back-crash test on Lexus HS 250h. At the speed of 80 km/h when back-crash happened, the fuel leak occurred, which goes over the normal limit.
This statement quickly responded by Toyota, asking car owner who have potential problem to immediately call their official dealer.
"We want to assure the customers, that their safety and satisfaction is our priority" said Toyota in their official release.
Until now, the Japanese company haven't found any solution for the fuel leak problem.
