
Fujitsu and Toshiba Corp are in a talk of merging their mobile business. The deal will allow them to share the cost of developing new advanced technology in the cellphone market.
Furthermore, the cooperation will extends their market globally, where Nokia and Samsung Electronics dominated. This includes the smartphone maker like Apple and Research in Motion which growing rapidly.
MM Research Institute analyst Hideaki Yokota stated that it will be hard to Japanese companies to extend their market globally, but this way, they can have equal opportunity.
"Samsung is already have established a sturdy base in the United States and European market. On the other side, they still lack in India and Africa, therefore there is a room for a change" he said.
