Gianluigi Buffon suffered the backbone injury when playing in World Cup match between Italy against Paraguay, which ended in a 1-1 draw. In the match, Gianlugi Buffon can only played for 45 minutes before substituted by Federico Marchetti in the Second Half.
The backbone injury predicted to make Buffon absent for a while, like what he suffered at early 2009/2010 season. Buffon will have a surgery to recover from his backbone injury.
This condition had caused Juventus to be worried and quickly looking for his replacement. According to the issue circulated, the Bianconeri is planning to sign Marco Storari from AC Milan with three years contract. Storari who produce an incredible performances when loaned from AC Milan to Sampdoria can be a threat to Buffon's place at Italy national team.
But Martina quickly clarify the issue and assured that Juventus still believed in the goalkeeper who brought La Vecchia Signora to its pride time. Martina insists, that Buffon will be the first choice in Juventus when he recovered.
Because of this injury, Buffon will not come along with Gli Azzuri squad to Nelspruit at Saturday morning, for a match against New Zealand in the World Cup Group F match.
