Sri Mulyani Goes to World Bank



Starting June 1, 2010, Sri Mulyani, will moved to Washington DC, United States of America, with a new position: Managing Director of World Bank. For the position, Sri Mulyani will be received a yearly wage of minimum US$347.000 (more than 3 billion Rupiah) or Rp. 250 million a month.

Related to the Bank Century scandal, Sri Mulyani Indrawati (SMI) believed to stand, and not runaway, although she's a newly promoted to the new position as Managing Director Bank Dunia, office in Washington, USA.

"I believe, although she will work from another place, Sri Mulyani wouldn't runaway from her responsibility. I am also sure that Sri Mulyani wouldn't destroys her credibility as an economist" said Bambang Soesatyo, member of Bank Century Scandal Supervision Team.

Bambang added that the ex-director of IMF has been supervised twice by KPK. He consider there's no problem if KPK still demands more information from Sri Mulyani.

"If needed, KPK can investigate Sri Mulyani again before her departure" he revealed.

Bambang also advised Sri Mulyani to clear all her responsibility before leaving Indonesia, including Century Scandal and Paulus Tumewu Tax Case.
