Mbah Priok Tomb, Koja, Tanjung Priuk Turned Into a Monumen

INDONESIA - DKI Jakarta Vice Mayor Prijanto ensures that the 300 metres monument beside the tomb of Mbah Priok or Habib Hasan Bin Muhammad Al Haddad, Koja, North Jakarta, doesn't have Building License.

This forces DKI Jakarta government to break down the unlicensed building as soon as possible. The tomb of Mbah Priok itself will be untouched and renovated to be a monument which people can visits.

"I didn't forbid the people to arrange demonstration, but please understand that the unlicensed building breaks the law. The tomb will remain untouched, it will be renovated and will looks better than before" said Prijanto in DKI Jakarta City Hall, Thursday, March 11, 2010.

The protest and demonstration from descendants of Mbah Priok and his followers rise along with the claim from PT Pelindo II as the owner of 145,2 acres of land in Jalan Dobo, North Jakarta.
