Theo Walcott Silencing the Critics

Arsenal striker Theo Walcott hopes that his appearance in the victory against Burnley could prove to people about his ability.

Walcott had been criticized all-out after a poor performance during England vs Egypt match at Wembley. Former England winger Chris Waddle said that Walcott's "do not understand about the game".

But the Gunner young players who will soon turns 21 years this month, proved his worth in the field and scored a goal in a 3-1 victory over Burnley.

"This is the season that frustrated me most during my career because of injuries that are often covered" Walcott said.

"My last six or seven games is the pre-season, and now I feel more sharply than ever. I hope my appearance against Burnley could prove to the people of my ability".

Walcott added that he merely wanted to concentrate on playing with Arsenal. Along with his appearance, the English national team will come to him.

"Now I will focus on the game later on Tuesday (against Porto in the Champions League) and see if I could show the same quality of performance".

Walcott was involved in a confrontation with Burnley defender, Daniel Fox, after a hard sliding tackle in the first half. Aaron Ramsey's broken leg is still fresh in the memory of Arsenal players. Walcott, however states that there is no continuing animosity between him and Daniel Fox.

"Emotions were high, especially with what had just happened, and I saw him flying in" Walcott said. "But we exchange t-shirts and talking after the game, so no grudges".

Arsenal have the same points with Chelsea, who played one match more, after winning four consecutive victories in the English league.

"We will concentrate on getting three points every week, that's all we could do. If we can win every game in the league, the results at the end of the season can already be seen," said Walcott.
