INDONESIA - The fact that many celebrities use their popularity to get a seat in the political world is making people look down on their abilities."We've been discriminated . Just because we come from entertainment into politics, doesn't mean that we're incompetent" Rieke said angrily during a visit to Makassar, South Sulawesi on Tuesday (9/3/2010).
Rieke Dyah 'Oneng' Pitaloka anger is understandable. The reason is, the artist who is now sitting in the legislature of the PDIP was the victim of sexual abuse by a doctor during a visit to the Labuan Baji Hospital, Makassar.
The sexual abuse happened when members of the House of Representatives Commission IX to do a photo shoot with the doctors at the hospital's South Sulawesi Provincial Government. Rieke admitted that she had embraced from behind by a doctors who initials R. He even did it twice. Not only that, the doctor is then asked to kiss Rieke.
"The doctor had asked for a kiss, with a sentence like this, kiss please, kiss please," Rieke said.
Rieke judge that such action is highly inappropriate performed by a doctor who is considered as a high educated man.
"I'm disappointed in the behavior of a professional doctor," he said.
Along with his legal, Aisha Amin, Rieke report the abuse to Polda Sulselbar.
