Real Madrid Leading La Liga


Drama happened in La Liga. Real Madrid effort to take the top league position from Barcelona deserve a thumb up. After defeating Sevilla 3-2 in Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday (7/3/2010), Los blancos managed to match points with Barcelona. Both pocketed 62 points, Real Madrid managed to replace their rival from the top of the league standings on goal difference.

Although the guest team Sevilla strike ahead with a goal scored in the 10th minute, the Manuel Pellegrini boys were not afraid. Los Blancos rise and bombard Andreas Palop's goal.

Tense, but until the first half ended Cristiano Ronaldo and Gonzalo Higuain were unable to convert chances to goal.

In the second half Sevilla again silenced the Real Madrid supporters who crowded the Santiago Bernabeu stadium. Iker Casillas defeated again for the second time. This time by Ivica Dragutinovic.

Disadvantaged 0-2, Los blancos did not give up. With action like in Winning Eleven game, Cristiano Ronaldo managed to break the deadlock for Real Madrid. A super shot from the former Manchester United player change the score 2-1.

Defender Sergio Ramos managed to equalize with a great header, defeated Pallop the second time.

After Ramos goal, Madrid goes crazy. They bombard Sevilla, and through Rafael Van der Vaart, Real Madrid finally managed to conquer Sevilla 3-2.
