INDONESIA - D'Massiv band threatened 4 years in prison on fraud charges that resulted in losses of Rp. 150 Million for Kabupaten Sinjai, Makassar, South Sulawesi.Fraud charges against D'Massiv was reported by Farizal, the event organizer (EO) who invited D'Massiv to perform at the birthday of Kabupaten Sinjai dated February 27, 2010. Until the event ended, D'Massiv never showed up, although the audience and event organizer waited until the night.
Farizal Lawyer, Syahrir Amiruddin explained that they had asked for clarification from D'Massiv and Musica label, but the answer received was not satisfactory.
"I've tried to call the Musica office, asking why D'Masiv did not come. But Musica said, they do not know if D'Masiv have gig schedule in Kabupaten Sinjai" said Farizal disapppointed.
The total loss suffered is Rp. 150 million, including Rp. 50 million fees for D'Massiv, paid through transfers to Musica Studio bank account.
D'Massiv are charged with Article 378 of the Penal Code 372 and the threat risk a maximum of 4 years in prison. Sinjai District Parties also requested that D'Massiv responsible to the Bupati Sinjai, Andi Rudiyanto Asapa and also to the communities for their failure to show up.
D'Massiv did not want to give clarification about their failure to showed up at Kabupaten Sinjai. D'Massiv manager, Mark Adolfist, who is also one of those reported in this fraud case declared that he feared the concentration D'Massiv be disrupted.
"Excuse me, please do not talk about it. It will disrupt the boys (D'Massiv) concentration" said Mark Adolfist.
